Back in May we were approached by Venables Bell & Partners with an enticing challenge.  As part of their new West of Expected campaign Skyy Vodka was looking for a refresh of their bottle photography, acknowledging the classic graphic look familiar to their consumers while bringing in a new more natural Napa California inspired approach.  We flew to San Francisco, home of Skyy, for this one and spent two days on set finding just the right look.  Using 4 packs, 13 lights, 21 C-stands, 13800 watt seconds, 3 rolls of diffusion, 2 8x8 V-flats, and 1 2x4 piece of plexi we arrived at the final style.  I’m stoked to have been given the opportunity and creative freedom to develop a new stylistic interpretation for such an iconic brand.

Back in July IEEE approached us to concept for a story about the threat of electromagnetic bombs. The fully framed room was built over three days, and the exterior was veneered with a rusted metal paneling. The servers are a CGI creation by Swell NY, integrated by Dan in post production. Thanks to stylist Birte Von Kampen for your plexi briefcase building skills, Hair/Mu artist Amy Gilespie and to photo director Randi Klett for the awesome project!
